When you upload your cv on uc, instead of having your contact details blank I would write "contact details to be provided when applying for a job". As when some wc see no contact details on a cv, they act like that's the one you are sending to people.

Good point Catwoman. That way they can`t argue that we haven't provided that little `note` on the CV. Lets face it, our CV`s are OUR property to allow those we wish to SHARE our data with as a private action and not one we should take lightly, especially with online scams.

I didn't know for certain until today and Sorry if it has been mentioned elsewhere before now...
Universal Credit claimants have to sign every week instead of the old 'Fortnightly' appointment AND the appointment lasts anything up to 30 mins.
The appointments can also be moved around, so in the case of a Bank Holiday off from signing... NOT any more !

Sick/Fit notes also now count for very little, I'm on a 3 Month sick/fit note and still have to sign on weekly.

Even the Two self-sick notes that you can put in per year now only last for 7 days, a New 'signing' appointment will be made for you on Day 8, you will need to get a certificate from the Doctor if you go into the 8th day of sickness.

Also...every time I have been so far... SOMETHING has been added or amended to my CC agreement ! Times that by 52 weeks in a year and thats a hell of a Lot of changes and conditions being added.

I use the word 'Signing' but don't forget that UC claimants don't actually sign anymore.
I take it that the actual 'Signing' 'act' is (agreed) when you get home on a PC (whatever) and accept your CC agreements.
Due to Government Cutbacks... The Light at The End of The Tunnel Has Now Been Turned OFF !

Spike, scroll down to `Switching off periods of sickness` in this linked page:
data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files/DEP2017-0556/24_CC-_Switching_off_work_availability_and_work_related_activities.pdf

I don`t know a lot about fit notes and UC yet but unlike the old JSA system, UC is far stricter.

Ok ! I may have read this 'link' wrongly and if I Have then I would ask the Admin to take this post down.
I DO NOT want to mis-inform people about UC and the way it works.
The link I was reading was...
www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/339714/response/836093/attach/html/4/2151%20UCKM%20Initial%20actions%20when%20a%20claimant%20reports%20sick.pdf.html
The section was...
First or second period of sickness .
Sorry if I read this wrong :)

Thing is Spike, it`s such a confusing system and everyone`s circumstances are different. Some claimants will take the two x 7 days per year sickness without the need for any fit notes, while others, like yourself, will have a fit note(s) that take them beyond the limits of these allowed periods. What is confusing me though is, I though if someone claiming UC was still `sick` after a certain number of days, they were asked to claim ESA? Or LCW (Limited Capability for Work) as it`s known under Universal Credit. Work coaches have the discretion also to `switch off` work related requirements when someone is handing in fit notes? Although these rules seem to be very watery at best.

The mind boggles....
