The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) didn’t seem to get the memo about Twitter not forgetting awkward tweets. As a tweet it put out in 2016 is doing the rounds again. And people aren’t happy with it.
The DWP: social media stars

In May 2016, the DWP tweeted about its 90-minute, one-way commute rule. It makes claimants look for work 90 minutes away. To this day, it’s still a requirement if you want certain benefits. But of course, the DWP didn’t spin it quite like that:

Have a look at this Post of Mine; Ref Travel Times:
welfarecentral.org/index.php/forum-home/working-benefits/1271-how-far-can-you-get-in-an-hour#5263

And it looks like it will get Far Worse after Brexit,
Latest Move is to Drastically cut Low Skill, Low Wage Workers from Europe into the UK,
So More Jobs for us...... But expect Long Commute (Perhaps work away all week & just get Home at Weekends, Many do this Now)
Or Move; Or get Sanctioned

Its Not looking Good. :(

Best defence i have found against this 90 minute commute is to have restrictions placed on your CC regarding travel times. :P
i have restricted my travel times down to 45 mins my reason being i suffer from extreme anxiety attacks on public transport and often find i have to get off the bus when i feel anxiety attacks building particularly on longer journeys.
as to them offering me unsuitable jobs i have so many restrictions on my claim i have actually taunted them by challenging them to find a job i can apply for that dosent conflict with my restrictions most dont even attempt to look, the few that have tried give up after a few mins needles to say my current roach dosent even attempt to ask me to apply for anything anymore coz its a waste of time

Yes, and this means all the crap jobs that are now done by EU migrants will now have to be done by us. No wonder far right Tories want Brexit—it furthers there agenda for a work slave nation.
