One of the reasons that Jobcentre staff ignore is complex needs.

1. Complex needs
2. 34230 Complex needs means the claimant is experiencing some difficult
1. life event(s) or
2. personal circumstances
3. that means it would be unreasonable to expect them to complete their requirements for a temporary period of time. Such needs can happen unexpectedly at any time and often the truth of the claimant’s situation is not fully revealed until the case has been referred to the DM to consider good reason and whether a sanction applies.
4. Note 2: Claimants who have complex needs may have extreme difficulty in dealing with the demands of benefit processes at a time when they may be under considerable personal stress which makes compliance with requirements unreasonable for them. The DM should consider whether good reason is satisfied and whether requirements can be temporarily eased.

I am aware some members here and elsewhere have been homeless or are the process of potentially being made homeless.

You can request a relaxed claimant commitment if you're experiencing a difficult life event and you can avoid DWP courses etc.

Keep you JSA28 etc. as a last resort.

I was just going to post a link about this in Tarquin`s thread about his current predicament with his landlord and thought this may be helpful to him but you beat me to it Paul! Don`t know if Tarquin has read this though?
