In commemoration of our National Health Service and the Great Man who was instrumental in it’s creation.

"What is Toryism but organised spivvery? …

No amount of cajolery can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party …

So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin".

Aneurin Bevan ….from a speech at Manchester, 4 July 1948

Good find there BB. The man saw them for what they were yet here we are in the 21st century still under their venomous rule. A leopard never changes it`s spots.

It is with Deep regret the NHS Will not be around in 10 years time, Let alone another 70,
Unless we get rid of the Capitalist system and this Diabolical Tory Government.
The Tories are slowly strangling the NHS, And bringing in Privatisation by the "Back Door";
The Future ?, Pay up or Die, Visit to the Doctor £25 thank you,
Hospital Visit £75, and An Operation ! £Bloody thousands.
Alternatives ? Private Medical Insurance anything between £50 - £100 per month, Or Die.
Life Expectancy in the UK is already going DOWN :angry:
The Future is looking very Bleak.

NHS reaches grand old age of 70 as campaigners lose fight against 'Trojan horse for privatization'

As celebrations ring out for the NHS reaching it’s landmark 70th birthday, campaigners backed by the late Stephen Hawking lose their fight against US-style health bodies, which they say are the 'Trojan horse for privatization'.
As celebrations ring out for the National Health Service (NHS) reaching its landmark 70th birthday, campaigners have lost their fight against US-style health bodies, which they say are a 'Trojan horse for privatization'.

For many of the 1.5 million people who work in the NHS, as well as past and present patients or those who are simply cheerleaders for Britain's cherished public institution, July 5 should be a day to rejoice its 70th birthday. However it's not a day to celebrate for a group of NHS campaigners who were backed by the late world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking.

I agree the NHS who I spent the larger part of my working life with is unlikely to be in public hands in another 10 years.

I cheered when I heard Hunt had gone but my happiness did not last long when I discovered his replacement Matt Hancock has strong links to the private sector (well what a surprise eh).
