Tell you what Paul, if the UK wasn`t such a COLD country at certain times of the seasons, I think many of us would pull the plug on benefits altogether and live as best we could without state assistance. Just looking at those pictures makes me feel good.

Is it me just being 'nostalgic', or was the 1970's a golden age for Xmas songs. As most of the songs/records I hear on the radio today where from this period? My personal favourite was Sir Elton, and it only peaked at No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart. :(

Yuletide greeting from Verc Towers.

Thanks for some lovely pictures and great songs guys.

Christmas is unfortunately not everybody's bag but it takes all sorts to make this world go round.

Agree about the oldies especially seventies. This is my favourite festive tune sorry the video is not greatest quality:

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Fine words Paul. When I was in the town last week at my assessment, coming home I walked past a young woman wrapped in blankets. She had a plastic cup with some coins in it so I walked up and asked her if`s she`d had something to eat. She smiled and mumbled but she was cold, so out came the fiver and I said get yourself something to eat and a man came over while I was there and dropped some change into her cup.

This really is an outrage and bothers me greatly. I know they say give the money to the organisations who provide shelter etc....but when you see an individual sat like that on a really freezing, wet day, I can`t just walk away. :(
