Some are working and if lucky allowed to visit a food bank like a bunch of 21st century refugees.

It's a total disgrace what the tories have done to this country.

They'd rather certain multi billion dollar companies operate and pay no tax; employ 1000's of people, & pay them next to nothing. But never mind people, you can claim the wonderful universal credit to top up your wage. The way to enhance your life 'financially'.Tax credits, food banks, and benefits just to break even in uk ltd.SOMETHING IS WRONG.imo

We need good quality jobs brought back into this country in manufacturing.Stacking shelves and working in poundland wont pay peoples rents or mortgages. Its a no brainer and the only people who cant get that equation through their skull are the ones actually 'running' the place.

i foresee bankruptcy as everything is being propped up artificially speaking.

If i was young again id be a bricklayer, plumber, carpenter or footballer. :cheer:

Forget HS2 which will only stop in a few locations, this is the future highlighted in the above link: Trolleys. I worked on the railways for a while, trolleys could at least run on some of our many disused lines especially between towns that have poor public transport links. No reason why it should be unaffordable or dangerous (if managed responsibly) and what with the increasingly unpopular rising cost of rail travel in the UK could prove very popular as long as you are not in a rush or too fussed about comfort (many people have to stand on trains anyway even if they have bought a ticket). I can see this happening although illegally so. Still at least that would embarrass our stupid govt and they might even get their finger out before they are well and truly out.

You know, when I look back on my `younger` years of being on JSA and having `some` work and then none again, the younger generation now should realise that having good skills like the ones jobber highlights can be lifelong jobs with decent wages. As Billy Connolly once said he wanted to be a plumber and joined the wrong que and became a welder!

Training for a profession takes money though and unless ALL of society`s youngsters GET that opportunity, they will end up in Poundland or have a season ticket to their job centre for a looooong time.
