Portugal have won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in the competition's history.
Salvador Sobral, 27, won with his love ballad Amar Pelos Dois, which was written by his sister.
He said on receiving the trophy: "We live in a world of fast food music. This is a victory for music... music isn't fireworks, music is feeling."
Lucie Jones, representing the UK with I'll Never Give Up on You, came 15th. Bulgaria came second and Moldova third.

I didn`t stay up for the results but Bulgaria were on my list of favourites. Young lad had a decent voice and was only 17. I wasn`t mad on the Portuguese entry, but then again, it wasn`t your average Eurovision mad-cap entry! What Italy were trying to say with that gorilla is anyone`s guess! I thought Sweden would walk it but hey ho...

The UK singer was very good, but I wasn`t mad on the actual song. Now had she sung a high energy dance track that may have got more notice!
