I'm new on here. Can I ask: is there any way to change the text colour or background colour? I can barely read anyone's comments. How is pale grey text on a white background a good idea?

Hi. Do you see the box with the colour choices in the snip I have posted above the smileys when posting a reply? You can change the font colour using this. :) Agree about the light grey being a little faded for older eyes like mine! Maybe admin could take a look at this?

Welcome by the way.

Hi, thanks. Yes, I can change my own text, but I still can barely read anyone else's comments. I'm sure that this will put a lot of people off using this site, which is otherwise very good.

Yes, I understand. Perhaps admin can look at this?

Hi and welcome, I have had similar issues on a few sites although on here for me I have a mid/dark grey text with lighter grey panelling and can read all the text clearly. I am no techie but maybe it could be down to something like which browser (firefox) version of windows (mine is W7 Professional) or theme, appearance and personalization settings in Control Panel. After much experimentation due to high sensitivity and history of migraines etc, I settled on green edged windows a few years back as it is easier on my eyes and might be making the text darker than other settings (including default), it occasionally throws up issues elsewhere like I said but am generally happy with it mostly including this site. I hope this helps and am not against admin changing things if it is difficult as it sounds for some of you.

What is very feint for me on here that I do struggle to read are the statements under the text of our posts. Mine is much feinter than the text so I am thinking you may not actually be able to see those at all i.e. where it says: 'ESA Appeals Veteran' right below this post.

First Welcome to the Forum "Mr Smith 5", B)
Will take a look at the forum Colour scheme, At the moment with my reading glasses on I can view all aspects of the forum
fine, Take my glasses of and its all a blur.
You could try adjusting your PC Display, most have a High Contrast option, but this may upset settings on other websites,
But as I said will have a look at alternative options on here.

Hi Mr Smith,

I don't know if it will help, but you can make the text bigger by holding down the ctrl key and tapping the + key. B)
