We’re looking for a deputy features editor and a reporter to join our busy east London newsroom,

Deputy Features Editor (closing date January 18)

We are seeking a deputy features editor to join the production team at our busy east London newsroom.

Regular Sunday working is required as part of a five-day 35-hour week in order to cover the paper’s six publication days.

This post is subject to a probationary period. Holidays start at 28 days a year rising to 30 days, plus bank holidays.

The successful applicant will need…

A flair for the English language and for snappy, punchy presentation
Attention to detail
The ability to operate well as part of a small team and offer new ideas
Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar software
Tight copy-editing skills
An interest in labour movement and progressive issues
Women and minority ethnic candidates are particularly encouraged to apply

Reporter (closes January 22)

We are seeking a reporter to join the team at our busy London newsroom.

Regular weekend working is required as part of a five-day 35-hour week in order to cover the paper’s six publication days.

Wages start at circa £21,100 per annum subject to a probationary period. Holidays start at 28 days a year rising to 30 days, plus bank holidays.
