Fine if you live in the same town as your MP`s constituency office! Both mine and my job centre are a bus ride away costing (cheapest £2.60p return) so that would need to be paid before I could use their phones. Our job centre allow claimants to use their phones though (done this once myself and witnessed a few others using them) but it still means having to pay out travel costs.

As usual, DWP reply by saying people can ask for a call back.....fine, but you still have to call up, wait 20 minutes on someone to answer and then relay who you are and why you are calling. This may take three/four/five minutes or more depending on the call.

I actually thought calling the UC claim line (making a new claim for UC) was free anyway? Seems not.

The DWP should be making all phone lines to the so called help centre on UC totally FREE also to job centres if needed.

These sad sods think by penalizing the unemployed further financially this will conjure up an array of work and they will happily sign off  .
NO IT WONT. :)

Ye another fine example how the SSP club are not in the real world driven by their own ideological political bull.

My bus fare return is over £7 return.
