I remember me mam telling me when she and her sisters were growing up they still got a school dinner during the holidays.Its hard enough these days when most things kids want to do costs money without having to worry about not having enough food.

This is just one of the comments posted in the link given above;

Joe Hamilton
The UK government pays out £42 Billion pa in Child tax credits and Child Benefit. The £31 billion in Tax Credits are paid to around 5 million households which is an average of £6k a year per household (on top of their other benefits/wages)

Food banks are unnecessary, and they were in previous decades when child benefits were much less generous (and food was more expensive).

Food banks = more money for booze, cigs, recreational drugs, Sky TV, cars, holidays...

Of all the arrogance, Ignorant comments by an obvious Tory voter living I guess a £1 Million pound house, Driving an Expensive company car; The kind of vermin scum I would not hesitate to give a good smack too. :angry:
