Nice to see the dear old dwp have made it crystal clear for us all when getting/needing prescriptions on the wonderful universal credit.

contactcentreservices.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/selfnhsukokb/AskUs_HWHC/en-gb/8202/qualifying-benefits/30978/am-i-entitled-to-free-nhs-prescriptions-if-i-am-in-receipt-of-universal-credit

Dont know about others out there but in my town they have WARNING signs up in chemists declaring get your prescription wrong and A £100 fine awaits you.Nice one :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I`m not on UC at the moment jobber but if and when my ESA is ever stopped for the usual fit for work joke, that means I`m in `no man`s land` where things like eye tests and dental treatments are concerned, so I couldn`t go near those unless I`m in receipt of a benefit like ESA or UC. So if for example, I find myself appealing again, I won`t be claiming UC right away because it would mean losing the £29 top up I am paid on the old ESA system (pre 2017), so I`m hoping I don`t face this gap again because I`m due an eye test beginning of next year and I need my NHS vouchers towards glasses. This would need to be put back if my ESA was stopped. Not to mention the rent arrears letters that are generated from the council. :angry:

Paul, I know it`s a silly question, but have you been to CAB to speak to one of their advisors to see if you would get anything else your entitled to just incase your missing out on even one thing you don`t know about or haven`t been told about? I know what neuralgic pain feels like (toothache) because it`s a similar type of pain I have in my neck! It`s not nice. Remember the NHS (GP surgeries) have dentists too that patients can be referred to, so ask your GP about these services. Not entirely sure how separate they are from high street practices, but when I went to see a physio earlier this year within my health centre building, I was sat in a waiting room that also seen dental patients. So look into this.

Why should I let the toad work, Squat on my life?
Can't I use my wit as a pitchfork And drive the brute off?
Six days of the week it soils,With its sickening poison -
Just for paying a few bills! That's out of proportion...

It`s the same in Scotland Paul. Makes you wonder why England being the biggest region, isn`t offering free prescriptions? I only get one medication but it`s not something I rely on daily but there are people who require many medications to stay alive and it`s ridiculous they have to pay.

By filling in that telephone directory of a form welfarecentral.org/index.php/forum-home/universal-credit/2042-free-prescriptions-while-on-universal-credit#10343 or having to print all the pages out will that automatically qualify all for free scripts while on UC ?

If not, looks like another deterrent to not claim for help;their all good with forms :whistle: :evil:

Private Renting, The list for Social Housing is as long as hell, anyone with a new born Baby put its name down for social Housing, by the time they get to 30 +
they might be somewhere near the top of the list;
Currently looking for somewhere across the border.(Wales)
Its NOT always best to switch from Benefits to a Pension, I was way to quick, and lost out. :(
Forward planning and Professional advice like CAB is the way to go.
