It's time we all got some perspective and realise how fragile our 'stable' circumstances really are

I am surprised to read a story like that from a journalist, sounds like they or someone they know has been affected because usually this degree of understanding is not present. The impact of Universal Credit is clearly spreading.

Still plenty of self righteous taxpayers in the comments though, it really does take being completely wiped out for some of these blinkered morons to wake up. Their jobs are not likely to be that secure these days so they should be careful, what goes around comes around and if they have spent their lives calling people scroungers and telling them to get jobs then are even less likely to get advice/support from the very people with enough experience and empathy to give it.

Well said Verc and Oh so true.I also have a few 'friends' who adhere to the line of thought of 'just get a job.'One day soon a lot of peoples bubbles will burst as redundancies will surely increase at a huge rate due to automation and economic downturn/recession.And to come within 18 months imo.
